Avanquest Software’s profile has changed completely since it was established in 1984: the small French company has become an international group with a strong presence in North America, Europe and Asia. With the acquisitions in early 2007 of Nova Development in the United States, and of the Micro Application, the #1 French publisher in 2011, Avanquest Software has crossed an important threshold and joined the ranks of the world’s ten leading consumer software developers (excluding games).

2007 – Acquisition of Nova Development in the USA and Emme in Europe
2010 – The French government-backed FSI (“Strategic Investment Fund”) - which invests in a privileged way in strategic companies offering industrial projects resulting in value creation and sustainable competitive advantage for the French economy - takes 9% of the group capital.
2011 – Acquisition of Micro Application, the #1 consumer software French publisher Avanquest Software in North America1996 – BVRP USA founded in Denver, Colorado
2002 – Acquisition of Elibrium, a Pleasanton, CA-based developer of SMB and personal productivity titles, including the best-selling MySoftware brand
2005 – Acquisition of V Communications, Inc. (VCOM), a San Jose, CA-based leading developer of utilities software for the global PC market
2007 – Acquisition of Nova Development, a Calabasas, CA-based developer of productivity and digital media software designed primarily for the consumer and small business markets
2008 – Avanquest opens a new R&D center in Montreal, Canada

2004 – Launch of Avanquest Iberica through the acquisition of Outsource
2005 – Avanquest Italia is founded
2006 – Acquisition of IMR UK and FastTrak Ltd. to strengthen Avanquest's position in the UK, Europe’s largest software market
2007 – Acquisition of Software Paradise in Great-Britain and takeover of 97.44% of the Emme group headquartered and listed in France.
