Get Started in 3 Easy Steps
MindGenius is simple and intuitive to use. Just select a new map
or choose from a variety of pre-existing business templates,
enter your data and use the Type-and-Return function to build
your map. You can drag and drop branches on your map to any
position that you want and focus on a particular area of interest
without the need for endless scrolling with the easy-to-use Map
Explorer. MindGenius lets you see the big picture when you need
to but all the little details when necessary too.
Generate, Gather and Record Ideas
MindGenius makes Brainstorming simple and straightforward. It
allows teams to collect, organize, and act on ideas by mapping
the progress of their brainstorm and making the information
gathered clear, easy to read and to understand. No need to sift
through sheets of paper trying to find the data collected from
your brainstorm. Just use the Map Explorer to navigate through
your ideas. Because the information is structured automatically
into a map, it's easier to collate and understand the feedback
generated. MindGenius lets you create names and apply colored
categories to link related information together. You can even
generate a Category Map with all the linked ideas grouped
together or create an Affinity Diagram where groups are laid out
in familiar order. After your brainstorm, you can share the data
gathered, identify the actions that need to be followed up, and
email tasks via MS Outlook to people directly from the
application. Use the Resource Map to track the progress of your
team's workload.
Manage Projects Effectively
MindGenius allows you to scope, plan, monitor, and deliver on
your projects efficiently and practically. It lets you cover a full
and comprehensive list of all the activities required to complete
your project and the deliverables. The map structure makes it easy
to break down your project into manageable stages and arrange them
in a logical order. You can determine action items, allocate a
named person to be responsible for the action using the Resource
icon and assign specific dates against the action. It provides you
with powerful tools to help you monitor your project, including a
filtering map function to show and discuss the status against any
red flagged tasks and the ability package your map and file
attachments into a single file to send as a attachment. You can
even save maps as HTML files so people can access and view them
over the Internet/Intranet or run the program on Web conferencing
applications, such as WebEx to communicate your maps globally.
MindGenius allows you to export your map to MS Project to make it
easier for you to manage larger more complex projects.
Enhance Decision Making
MindGenius allows you to gather and understand the right
information, and to think through the Decision-Making process. It
provides you with a Decision-Making Template to help you ask the
right questions and get started. You can explore your alternatives,
risks, assumptions, and success factors easily using Map Explorer
and rank your options with Categories. Once you have made your
decision, you can easily share it and discuss it with your
colleagues for additional input. Simply export your map to PDF or
convert it to a PowerPoint presentation. You can walk your
colleagues through your map and explain how you arrived at your
decision and add any relevant feedback to your map so you can
explore it together.
Conduct Effective Impact Analysis
MindGenius helps you determine the impact of your solution to the
organization before you implement it. Using the various Solution
and Effect Templates within the program, you can identify and
explore the major effects of your solution, analyze the impact of
these effects, and assess the suitability of the solution. The
Templates are in the format of an Output Tree diagram as this
best represents the normal left-to-right sequence of solution and
effect.
Perform Useful SWOT Analysis
MindGenius allows you to do SWOT analysis in a highly
effective and practical way. It enables you to handle large amounts
of information and to complete an in-depth SWOT analysis. It helps
you think creatively so you can find the best solutions for your
problems. Get started easily with the SWOT template. Select the
central branch of your map as your objective and use the Strengths,
Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats arms to gather information to
allow you to identify the best way forward. Use Categories to
understand and analyze your data. Add a recommendations branch to
input your recommendations based on your analysis. You can assign
tasks and resources to accomplish these tasks all within
MindGenius.
Run Productive Meetings
Prepare easy and effective agendas prior to your meetings and
easily capture all the information during the meeting. MindGenius
provides a Template for meeting management so you can have a
checklist to get you going. You can use the Map Explorer to move
backwards and forwards through your agenda and assign tasks and
resources so team members know what is expected of them. With
MindGenius, your meeting minutes and action items are available
right away. Instantly distribute them to attendees via email and
HTML and follow up on the meeting easily. Using Outlook, you will
be informed electronically if other people update their progress
against their Action entry in their task list. You can update the
status against their actions in the Map as appropriate.
